word does hurt

stick and stone may break my bone bone but name will never hurt me. How many of us heard that was told that by a friend or a teacher. I was told that by a teacher in high school and I accept that. But you know as i got older I realize that the worse thing a person could tell you because its a lie. Word does hurt  and it can for a long time. Someone had said its better off to be hit physcially than to be verbally abuse. Because the physcal wound can heal but the hurtful word that are spoken takes a long time to heal. word like your stupid or you wont amount to anything  said enough time the person will actually believe it especially children. The thing that we say to them can really hurt and affect them for the rest of their life.Instead we need to speak  word that will build the person not destroy them. Think about it there Death and life are in the power of the tongue(Pr 18;21)and how we use it can make a diffrence in someone life.
